I-coop Miyagi Consumers Cooperative and Pal System Consumers Cooperative union jointly have carried out Takidashi service ( cook and delivery service of hot meal) for the Tsunami victims. On May 18 to 19, Balangon banana was delivered with eel rice bowl.

Balangon banana, donated by growers, were collected, packed and transported to Manila by ATC. Tanaka Seika Inc. (ripening), You-Package Inc. (repacking) and Taiyo-Shokuhan Inc. (transporting banana to Pal System distribution center) were dedicated to working for the support banana on free of charge. Then Pal System transported banana to Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, then the Takidashi-team (Pal system staffs and I-coop member) distributed more than 3,000 pieces of Balangon banana to 1,600 people.

After the meal service, 10 carton of the Balangon banana were delivered to another evacuation center, too.

I-coop Miyagi member joined the Takidashi-team. She said “I also ate Balangon banana by coop this morning.

Coop staff were preparing the meal set, cooking rice, boiling eel and packing Balangon banana.

Ishinomaki City: The cars on the wall and gravestones driven by tsunami have not been cleaned up yet.
